Experience
After completing my bachelor's degree, I enrolled in a graduate program at the University of South Florida and earned my master's degree before beginning my career as a public school teacher. As a teacher, I had the privilege of using my American Sign Language skills to teach deaf high school students. While challenging at times, I found this to be an extremely rewarding experience where I was able to have a positive impact on my students' lives by helping them overcome their challenges and reach their full potential. Along with being a high school teacher, I've also worked with elementary and middle school students as well. More than anything, I enjoy working alongside students and helping them overcome various challenges so that they can reach success inside the classroom and out in the professional world. A large portion of my teaching experience involves math at various levels, but I've also helped students get a better understanding of science, social studies, and English. For me, the best part of being a teacher is being able to see your student have that "aha" moment where they finally understand a challenging concept. Along with teaching, I also enjoy photography, gardening, and spending times with my friends and family.
